    The majority of the district’s construction division employees are set to move to U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys by Oct. 15. The move coincides with a ramping up of construction at the garrison, part of the United States Forces Korea’s Yongsan Relocation Plan (YRP), the largest base relocation program in the Department of Defense.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii, Tripler Army Medical Center and contractor Sumo-Nan, Inc. officials opened a renovated Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH/Building 104) May 30 during a blessing and maile lei untying ceremony. The upgraded UEPH will house Companies A, B and D of the Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Troop Command.

    Seventh- and eighth-grade students from Camp Casey elementary school on U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud toured the Far East District compound Friday, May 16, to see what a day in the life of an engineer is all about. District engineers gave students an overview in geotechnical, environmental and sustainability in engineering, as well as a tour of the materials testing laboratory and surveying technology.
