Corps of Engineers awards dredging contract to local firm
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, has awarded an annual dredging contract at three locations on the Kenai Peninsula to a locally owned firm. Alaska Marine Excavating of Anchor Point won the $5 million, 5- year contract to dredge the Ninilchik Harbor, the Homer Harbor and the U.S. Coast Guard’s Hickory Berth at Homer.

Industry Day for small business and large business owners to network with industry professionals and form collaborative alliances with key government representatives will be held Mar. 21 at the Hotel Captain Cook. The event is sponsored by the Associated General Contractors with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the SBA, the SBDC and other federal and state agencies attending.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Honolulu District recently awarded a contract for the FY12 MCA PN64967 Child Development Center, Fort Shafter, Oahu, Hawaii to 57 Builders, Ltd., Honolulu, for $9,573,118.

Army Corps awards Phase 1 contract for future USARPAC Command and Control facility
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District recently awarded a contract for the FY11 PN65650 USARPAC Command and Control Facility, Phase 1, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, to Niking Corporation, Wahiawa, Hawaii for $46,780,000.
