    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District received authorization and funding for an array of critical construction projects and activities that will contribute to the development of the state’s water resources and help boost the economy.
  • USACE POD Receives Pebble Mine Appeal Administrative Record

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Pacific Ocean Division (POD) and the Appellant have received the administrative record from the USACE Alaska District as of May 26, 2021. The administrative record contains documents pertaining to the Pebble Mine permit decision, which will be considered by the Division Engineer when making a determination on the merits of the appeal.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Releases Work Plan for Fiscal 2021 Civil Works Appropriations

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) delivered to Congress its Fiscal Year 2021 (FY 2021) Work Plan for the Army Civil Works program on January 19, 2021.

    Colonel Thomas J. Verell Jr., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District commander, joined Brig. Gen. William J. Bowers, Commanding General of Marine Corps Installations Pacific, Brig. Gen. Christopher A. McPhillips, Commanding General of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Brig. Gen. Joel L. Carey, Commander of the 18th Wing, and Lt. Gen. H. Stacy Clardy, the commanding general for III Marine Expeditionary Force, during a ribbon cutting ceremony Nov. 24 introducing the newly-minted facilities and hangers that are now part of the Marine Wing Liaison Kadena. Also attending the ceremony were construction partners from Prime Projects International, and Tokyu Construction.
  • Associated General Contractors of Alaska, with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Major Participant, is sponsoring Industry Day on March 21, 2012 in Anchorage, AK

    Industry Day for small business and large business owners to network with industry professionals and form collaborative alliances with key government representatives will be held Mar. 21 at the Hotel Captain Cook. The event is sponsored by the Associated General Contractors with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the SBA, the SBDC and other federal and state agencies attending.
