Corps installs blackout blinds to improve Soldiers' sleep in Alaska
Pictured is an installed blackout shade in a barrack on Fort Wainwright. The blackout blinds prevent most of the light from entering a room, helping the occupant get quality sleep even in an Alaskan summer. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District worked with Fort Wainwright and Fort Greely to install over 2,700 black blinds in 30 barracks to help improve Soldiers’ sleep.
