Brig. Gen. Jeffrey L. Milhorn, Commanding General of USACE Pacific Ocean Division represented the U.S. Embassy in a turnover ceremony of the Quang Tri Disaster Management Center in Vietnam, which the Corps' Alaska District constructed under the U.S. Pacific Command's Humanitarian Assistance Program. The building will serve as a command center for the Vietnam Search and Rescue to predict, monitor and prepare for disaster events as well as manage response and recovery teams to assist the public.
