This is the first of several Coastal Crisis Management Centers to be completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers- Pacific Ocean Division, working through its Alaska District. In addition to the Multi-Purpose Cyclone Shelters built in partnership with Bangladesh by the U.S. Government, the Crisis Management Centers will better enable the Government o f Bangladesh to respond to natural disasters, and ensure the protection of Bangladesh’s fragile coastal environment.
