Mr. Sánchez is a distinguished member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) with over 30 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). In June 2022, he assumed the role of Director of Engineering and Business for the Pacific Ocean Division. In this capacity, Mr. Sánchez leads a diverse workforce of approximately 1,700 active-duty military personnel, U.S. civilians, and foreign nationals. He provides executive direction and management for the Division and its four subordinate Districts in Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, and Korea, overseeing an annual program exceeding $2.0 billion across the Indo-Pacific and Arctic regions, which includes civil works, engineering, construction, resource management, and strategic planning.
