Petersburg Open House about Corps Regulatory Program set for July 19, 2012

The public is invited to an informal meeting in Petersburg on Thursday, July 19, 2012, about the process for permitting projects in wetlands and other waters of the United States. Representatives of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Regulatory Division will be available to discuss the permitting program and answer questions about work and activities that require a permit, types of permits, and how to apply for permits. Col. Christopher D. Lestochi assumed command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, today in a change of command ceremony on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Col. Reinhard W. Koenig, the outgoing Alaska District Commander, relinquished command in a ceremony at District headquarters. Brig. Gen. Richard L.
