  • Petersburg Open House about Corps Regulatory Program set for July 19, 2012

    The public is invited to an informal meeting in Petersburg on Thursday, July 19, 2012, about the process for permitting projects in wetlands and other waters of the United States. Representatives of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Regulatory Division will be available to discuss the permitting program and answer questions about work and activities that require a permit, types of permits, and how to apply for permits. Discussion can also include required application information, wetland delineations, laws and regulations, and the value of early coordination and planning.
  • District Awards $54.7M Contract for Wheeler Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) Infrastructure

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District awarded a $54,772,000 contract June 29 to David Boland, Inc., Titusville, Fla., for a fiscal year 2012 project to build the MCA PN69489 Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) Infrastructure, Phase 1, Wheeler Army Airfield on Oahu, HI.
  • Colonel Christopher D. Lestochi assumes command of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District

    Col. Christopher D. Lestochi assumed command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, today in a change of command ceremony on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Col. Reinhard W. Koenig, the outgoing Alaska District Commander, relinquished command in a ceremony at District headquarters. Brig. Gen. Richard L. Stevens, commander of the Pacific Ocean Division, the Alaska District’s next higher headquarters located in Honolulu, served as the ceremony’s presiding officer.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Honolulu District and Honolulu-based contractor Sumo-Nan, LLC officials broke ground June 14 on a new unaccompanied enlisted personnel housing facility (barracks) for 140 personnel at Helemano Military Reservation.
